More Snow For Salisbury

Posted:

SALISBURY, Md.- Monday's winter weather brought nearly half a foot of snow to parts of Salisbury, bringing the total snowfall for the winter season to more than 20 inches.

The late season snow had many people out shovelling as they dreamed about better weather.

"Hopefully tomorrow it'll be 70 and I want to plant some flowers, " Mickey Perry said. "I want warm weather like everybody else."

The temperatures didn't get anywhere near 70 on Monday and the long winter and all of the shoveling that comes along with the snow is taking a toll on Perry.

"This weather makes me feel older than what I really am," he said. "It's taking a toll on my body, I get aches and pains like everybody else."

The latest snowstorm is starting to wear on Virgie Kelly too.

"I thought we were done because Saturday was such a beautiful day outside, and even Sunday it was little cooler but I thought we were done."

Kelly usually doesn't mind the snow but says enough is enough.

"I didn't think it was going to be  much, so when I opened the door and looked outside I was like, 'Woah'," she said.

For Micky Perry, positive thoughts about a warmer tomorrow is getting him through this snow day.

"I want to sweat, I want to put some shorts on and a tank top and enjoy the beautiful sunshine."

Spring officials begins at 12:57p.m. on Thursday.
