KANSAS CITY– Wesley College head men's basketball coach Jerry Kobasa has been named the National Association of Basketball Coaches Middle Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, it was announced on Tuesday morning.  Also named the Capital Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, this is the first time that Kobasa has been named a Regional Coach of the Year.

Also earning All-Region honors was David Langan, who received First Team accolades along with Aaron Walton-Moss of Cabrini, DeSales' Mike Coleman, Ross Danzig of Scranton, Dickinson's Adam Honig and Brian Parker of Alvernia. It was also announced that Langan will play in the Reeses' Division III All-Star Game on Saturday, March 22, at 3 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center, just prior to the NCAA Division III Championship Game.

Kobasa led the Wolverines to a program-best 23-4 record this season, including Wesley's first-ever NCAA Tournament victory and a team-record 12-game winning streak.  Named the DIII News National Coach of the Month for November, Kobasa is the winningest coach in Wesley College history at 151-95 (.614).  When combining his record as a head coach at nearby Sussex Tech and Smyrna High School, Kobasa is now 400-225 (.640) all-time.
