BALTIMORE- After going 2-0 this past week, the Salisbury University women's lacrosse team remains No. 1 in the intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll and Lacrosse Magazine ranking, the organization announced Monday.
The Sea Gulls are the first team in the country to hit the double-digit mark in victories; they currently have a perfect record at 10-0. SU defeated then-No. 12 Colby College last week 9-7 and notched another win in the Capital Athletic Conference against University of Mary Washington, 13-6.
Salisbury received 280 first placed votes, followed by the State University of New York at Cortland; they earned 100 points to claim the No. 2 spot with a record of 7-0.
The women are back in action on Wednesday, April 2, as Salisbury welcomes Wesley College to Sea Gull Stadium for a conference-tilt. First draw is set for 4 p.m.
