Carlisle Fire Company Announces Recruitment Day Sunday in Delaware

MILFORD, Del-The Delaware Volunteer Firefighter Association along with The Carlisle Fire Company announced a statewide 1st Annual Recruitment Day being held on April 13. 

The program was created in order to launch a national Volunteer Day nationwide. 

The DVFA has requested all 60 fire departments to be open to the community and provide a chance to allow new members an exposure to fire service.

The event is expected to kick off at 12 p.m. 

A ways and means team is also putting together a Chicken BBQ fundraiser to sell chicken platters and drinks.

A vehicle extrication demonstration will be on display to see the tools in action including gear, SCBA bottles and much more.
