Man Charged After Dragging a Tree onto Neighbor's Yard

SALISBURY, Md.- A Salisbury has been charged with malicious destruction of property and littering following accusations that he dragged a tree onto a neighbor’s yard.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office reports that at around 12:30 a.m. Monday, 27-year-old Zachary C. Furbay dragged a 15-foot tall tree that he had recently cut down onto an adjacent property using a truck.

Police said the complainant in this case saw Furbay driving off his property after depositing the tree. According to investigators, Furbay had damaged the complainant’s yard during the process of dragging the tree when Furbay became stuck.

Following his arrest on the aforementioned charges, Furbay was released on $15,000 unsecured bond.
