Newark Police Investigate Bomb Threat at Porter Auto Group

NEWARK, Del. - Newark Police are investigating a bomb threat at the Porter Auto Group in New Castle County.

Police say at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, someone called in a bomb threat at Porter Auto Group on East Cleveland Avenue. Police say four buildings with the company were evacuated and K9 teams from Delaware State police and UDPD swept the buildings for explosives. Police say no bombs were found.
Cleveland Avenue was closed in both directions from Capitol Trail to paper mill Road for about 90 minutes. 

Police say the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should contact Detective Greg D'Elia at 302-366-7110 extension 132.
