Motorcyclist Injured in Milford Crash

Posted: Updated:
MILFORD, Del.- Milford police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck wanted in connection with a collision with a motorcycle that left a man  injured.

Investigators said 61-year-old Alan Long of Camden was riding his 2013 Harley Davidson northbound on South Rehoboth Boulevard and approaching Evans Street in Milford. According to police, that is when a silver pickup truck turned in front of the motorcycle.

Authorities said Long hit the brakes to avoid a crash, but it caused his motorcycle to fall over and slide 25 yards on South Rehoboth Boulevard. Police said the driver of the pickup then continued on Evans Street and failed to return to the scene.

Long was transported to Milford Bayhealth Hospital with a leg injury.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Milford Police Department at (302) 422-8081.
