Ocean City Gears up for 24th Annual Springfest

OCEAN CITY, Md.- The four-day Springfest will be held in Ocean City, and admission is free with the exception of the headline acts.

The festival, which is in its 24th year, will be held May 1-4 at the south end of Ocean City’s boardwalk. It will include more than 250 vendors selling arts, crafts, food and beverages, as well as a variety of live acts performing all day on two stages. Tickets to watch the anchoring headline acts cam be purchased by calling 1-800-626-2326 or at the festival’s ticket booth.

The Fabulous Hubcaps, known for their tributes, will perform Thursday, May 1 at 7 p.m. with tickets costing between $5 and $10. Grammy Award winning country artist Merle Haggard will make an appearance Friday night. The rock band Loverboy will be performing Saturday night with special guest The Reagan Years. Those tickets will be $20 to $45.

The town of Ocean City will offer shuttle buses to and from West Ocean City Park and Ride on Route 50 at 6 a.m. beginning Thursday, May 1, and will be running throughout the event. If the buses are not available, Shore Transit will provide an additional service to and from the Park and Ride and to and from the South End Transit Station.
