June 13 Named Last Day of School for Wicomico Students

Posted: Updated:
SALISBURY, Md.- The Maryland State Board of Education has approved Wicomico County Public Schools' request to end school on Friday, June 13.

Wicomico officials also announced Wednesday that the last three days of school- June 11, 12 and 13- will be early dismissal days.

The school year had been scheduled to end June 6, but inclement weather resulted in several days of canceled classes.

Last week, the nearby Worcester County Board of Education unanimously voted at its board meeting to make June 13 the last day of school for students. That decision was made after Worcester received a four-day waiver from the state superintendent of schools.
