BERLIN, Md. – The manager of Siculi Rustic Italian Restaurant on Main Street in Berlin says a small fire started in the kitchen late Thursday morning.

The manager said soot ignited in the flume of one of the ovens in the kitchen and created a lot of smoke.

No injuries have been reported.

Several area fire companies responded to the fire, which has since been put out. The restaurant's manager said the business will likely be closed for the next few days to clean up smoke damage.
