Milford Municipal Election to be Held Saturday

MILFORD, Del.- Milford voters will be choosing a new mayor Saturday during the city's municipal election.

The election will be held between noon and 8 p.m. at Milford Middle School on 612 Lakeview Ave.

There are three candidates for mayor, which is a two-year term. James Oechslar Jr., Betty Lou Schiedenhelm, and Bryan Shupe are on the ballot.

Voting will not take place for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Ward Council seats because they are uncontested races.

The following candidates have submitted their nominating petitions to run for the council seats:
  • 1st Ward: Garrett Grier III
  • 2nd Ward: S. Allen Pikus
  • 3rd Ward: Owen S. Brooks Jr.
  • 4th Ward: Katrina E.J. Wilson.
