EASTON, Md. - Easton police have served a criminal summons on a man accused of stealing copper wire from his former employer.

Robert Harrison, 28, of Easton, is charged with 23 counts of theft under $1,000, one count of theft under $10,000 and one count of theft scheme.

Police said the charges stemmed from an investigation into thefts at Harrison's former workplace, Tom's General Service Inc.

Investigators said Harrison stole copper wire, which he had overstocked over a three-month period. He was later found to have sold nearly $10,000 of copper to local metal recyclers, according to police.
