Posted: Updated:

WHEATON, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County police say a woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a Ride-On bus in the Wheaton area.

Police spokesman Capt. Paul Starks says the woman was hit on Randolph Road near John F. Kennedy High School on Tuesday morning. He says she was taken to a hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

Police say westbound Randolph Road will be closed at Tivoli Lake Boulevard through the morning rush hour, but school buses will be allowed to go to the high school. Eastbound traffic is not affected.
