Man Arrested for Scissor Threat at Congressman Harris Office

SALISBURY, Md.- An 81-year-old Willards man is facing assault and related charges following accusations that he walked into U.S. Rep. Andy Harris' Salisbury office and held scissors in a threatening manner.

Salisbury police said the incident happened Monday when Francis Karick went into the congressman's office at 212 West Main Street, asked to borrow a pair of scissors and then made threatening comments and motions with them. There were no reported injuries.

Karick was charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He was released after posting $20,000 bond.
