SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University baseball team has moved up in both the D3baseball.com poll and the American Baseball Coaches Association poll, the organizations announced this week.

Salisbury won its two games last week, earning a 5-1 win at Gallaudet University and a 7-0 shutout win at Stevenson University, on Sunday.

For their efforts, the Sea Gulls jumped five spots in the D3baseball.com poll, back into the top 10. Salisbury earned 350 points, just 36 points behind No. 9 Tufts University. This ends a stretch of five-straight weeks that Salisbury has been outside the top 10, ranked No. 15 last week.

The top five in the poll did not change with Linfield College grabbing 20 first-place votes and 619 points to remain the top team in the land, followed by Webster University (three first-place votes and 593 points), Concordia University Chicago (two first-place votes and 578 points), the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (507 points) and the University of Southern Maine (486 points).

In the ABCA poll, Salisbury moved up two spots to No. 12 this week, grabbing 304 points, just 17 behind No. 11 State University of New York at Cortland.

The top five has not changed in the ABCA poll, as well, with Linfield (480 points and all 16 first-place votes) leading the way. Webster is second (459 points), followed by Concordia-Chicago (452 points), Trinity (Texas) University (405 points) and Wisconsin-Whitewater (399 points).

Salisbury is back in action this Saturday, May 3, hosting the College of Staten Island for a doubleheader beginning at noon at the SU Baseball Field.
