GEORGETOWN, Del – A former Delaware correctional officer has pleaded guilty to having sexual relations with female inmates, according to his attorney.

On Wednesday morning, Christopher S. Peck, 39, of Felton, pleaded guilty to six counts of sexual relations in a detention facility and one count of official misconduct for having sexual relations with female inmates.

Each count of the felony calls for a maximum of two years of prison, and the misdemeanor calls for up to one year. All together, Peck could face a maximum of 13 years in prison, although his attorney said he hopes for far less.

The incident of sexual relations happened between July 13, 2013 and Nov. 9, 2013 at the Sussex Correctional Institution Boot Camp Program. The ages of the three female inmates are 19, 27, and 28.

The case started when the Department of Corrections reported that the 19-year-old inmate had disclosed that she had sexual relations with Peck, a correctional officer at the facility at the time, according to police. The incident was then reported to state police.

Police investigated the incidents and found they happened at least 11 times. The investigation also found that two other inmates were involved.

Police arrested Peck on Nov. 20, 2013.

The Department of Justice said Peck will be sentenced on June 6.
