CRISFIELD, Md.- Police say four people are facing charges following a drug bust on a Crisfield home.

Crisfield police said that on Friday at around 11 p.m., departmental officers, assisted by the Fruitland Police Department's K-9 unit, executed a search and seizure warrant at the home located at 218 Myrtle St.

Police said that when they entered the home they detained three suspects, identified as Leah Sherman, Kenneth Byrd and Cheyenne Patton. Joseph Howe Jr. entered the home while the officers were there and he too was detained, investigators said.

Authorities said the search turned up 1,600 grams of suspected marijuana, which has a street value of $3,000. Police also seized a .270 Remington rifle, and other contraband they said was used for illegal activity.

All were taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana. Sherman and Howe were also charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and distribution of marijuana. Byrd and Sherman, who share the home, were released on $40,000 bail from the Somerset County Detention Center.
