Man Injured During Home Invasion in Millsboro

Posted: Updated:
MILLSBORO, Del. (AP/WBOC) - Delaware State Police say a resident was injured when two men invaded a home in Millsboro.

It happened about 11:30 p.m. Sunday at a residence in the 28000 block of Russell Street. Troopers say two black men with bandanas over their faces entered the home and encountered five residents.

Investigators say two residents jumped out of windows to escape. Police say the suspects assaulted one resident and stole money from him.

Officers say that resident then jumped out a window, and the suspects fled.

The assaulted resident was treated for a head injury at a local hospital.

Detectives have determined through preliminary interviews and investigation that the victims were targeted in the home invasion.

If anyone has any information about the incident, they are asked to contact Troop 4 at (302) 856-5850 extension 224.
