NORFOLK, Va.-? The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference released its 2014 Baseball All-Academic selections and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore baseball team saw 10 of its student-athletes recognized.
A total of 95 student- athletes were honored and UMES tied for the third most representatives on the team. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average. A transfer student-athlete can also be eligible if they have been in residence at an institution for at least one school year.
Junior catcher Dustin Aigner (Melfa, Va.), sophomore pitcher J.P. Black (Elkton, Md.), sophomore pitcher Jordan Bone (Pittston, Pa.), sophomore third baseman Connor Breslin (Saylorsburg, Pa.), senior outfielder Stephen Bull (Millsboro, Del.), junior utility Nick Cooper (Delmar, Del.), sophomore pitcher James Dibuo (Bishopville, Md.), sophomore shortstop Mike Escanilla (Waldorf, Md.), junior second baseman Joshua James (Milford, Del.) and sophomore pitcher Will Turley (Greensboro, Md.) were all named for UMES.
