Five Mile Backups Reported on Chesapeake Bay Bridge
STEVENSVILLE, Md.- The Maryland Transportation Authority says an accident on the eastbound span of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge has caused a several mile backup Sunday.
Around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, the MDTA tweeted that one lane was closed due to an accident on the Eastbound span. Just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday, the MDTA says the left lane was reopened, however there was about a five mile backup at the toll plaza. Drivers should expect delays.
