Delmar Police Searching for Burglary Suspect

DELMAR, Del. – Police are searching for a suspect they say is linked to numerous burglary investigations in Delaware.

Officers from the Delmar Police Department responded to a burglary call in Delmar, Delaware on Monday, May 26th. According to the Delmar Police Department, a 911 call advised that two males were carrying shotguns down Maryland Avenue. Police say a Delmar officer met with the 911 caller and, based off the caller’s description, was able to determine who a possible suspect was.

Police say officers searched the suspect’s residence and found several stolen items linked to six separate burglary investigations. Officers say the investigations include burglaries in Delmar and surrounding jurisdictions of Delaware State Police and the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office.

According to police, charges for the suspect include theft of more than $1,000 among other charges.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
