Two Arrested in Hoopers Island Burglary

HOOPERS ISLAND, Md.- A Philadelphia man and woman are charged with burglary and trespassing in connection to a May 25 burglary on Hoopers Island.

The Dorchester County Sheriffs Office responded to 1520 Ester Dean Road for a reported burglary in progress, and found a man and woman near the residence.

A witness identified 55-year-old Dianne Anita Dichter, of Philadelphia and 53-year-old Michael Robert also of Philadelphia as the suspects. They were arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, 4th Degree Burglary to commit theft, malicious destruction of property over $500, trespassing – posted property and theft over $1,000 but under $10,000.

The Sheriff’s Office said several items taken from the residence were located and returned to the owner’s representative.

Dichter and Sassa were both released by a Court Commissioner on $25,000 unsecured bond.
