Man Found Dead in Apartment in Princess Anne

PRINCESS ANNE, MD. - Maryland State Police are investigating the death of a Somerset County man who was found dead in his apartment Thursday morning. Police say 34-year-old Kevin M. Green was found by a friend who went to check on him at his home.

Police say shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning, Maryland State Police criminal investigators responded to Green's apartment in the 11000 block of Stewart Neck Road. Police say Green had not been heard from since June 3rd, and he had failed to report for classes on Wednesday at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Police say Green was a graduate student there.

Police say when Green's friend received no response at the door on Thursday, he forced entry into the apartment and found Green on his bed. Emergency medical services personnel responded and determined Green was deceased. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators found no signs of foul play in the apartment and observed no obvious signs of trauma on Green's body. His body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Police say the investigation is continuing in Princess Anne.
