Driver Charged After Crashing into Seaford Holiday Inn Express

SEAFORD, Del.- Seaford police have arrested a man for DUI and related charges after they say he crashed his Jeep into the front doors of the Holiday Inn Express.

Police said that at around 6:40 a.m. Friday, 46-year-old David Pauley, of Seaford, was driving a 2004 Jeep when it struck the front door glass of the hotel, located on Sussex Highway. According to police, Pauley got out of the vehicle and ran in an attempt to flee the scene. He was taken into custody in the nearby Williams Pond Park and charged with driving under the influence and other traffic-related offenses.

There were no injuries from the crash, investigators said.

Bond information is pending.
