WBOC Wins 12 Awards in AP Contest

OCEAN CITY, Md.- WBOC-TV and WBOC.com are proud to announce the station won 12 awards in this year's Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters' Association Contest.

The following awards were presented to WBOC and WBOC.com at CAPBA’s annual awards banquet held Saturday evening at the Dunes Manor Hotel in Ocean City:

·   Outstanding Newscast

·   Outstanding Coverage of a Continuing Story: “Accomack County Arsons”

·   Outstanding Documentary or In-depth Reporting: “Accomack County Arsons”

·   Outstanding Year-Round Local Sports Coverage: “Scott Abraham: Local Sports Coverage”

·   Outstanding Public Affairs Program or Series: “Delmarva’s Casinos: The Chips Are Down”

·   Outstanding Feature or Human Interest Story: “Damaged Ocean City Boardwalk for Sale”

·   Outstanding Sports Feature: “The Ambassador of Easton”

·   Outstanding Television Photography: “David Gordon Photography”

·   Outstanding Website: “WBOC.com

·   Best Reporter: “Corrina Pysa”

·   Video Journalist/One Man Band Reporter: “Michael Chesney”

Saturday’s ceremony honored radio and television stations in Maryland, Delaware and Washington.
