UPDATE: Man Injured as Police Search for Shooting Suspect in Dover

DOVER, Del.- Delaware State Police say they are searching for a suspect who shot a man in Dover Saturday night.

Troopers say the shooting happened outside of the Alder Park Apartments.  Police said a 26-year-old man was standing in the area of Webbs Lane when he was approached by a male suspect.  The suspect pulled a handgun and fired several rounds at the victim, who was struck twice in the lower extremity.

The suspect fled the area.  The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  There are no details available at this time on the suspect's clothing of physical appearance.
