DSP Holds Rapid Response Training in Milford

Posted: Updated:
MILFORD, Del.- Delaware State Police, along with several other law enforcement agencies from across the state, will be conducting "Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training" in partnership with the FBI on Monday, June 9 to Friday, June 13, at the vacant Milford Middle School located at 612 Lakeview Ave. in Milford.

The training involves both classroom and practical exercises, which consists of vital active shooter training, providing an opportunity for law enforcement to practice real world threats in a real world environment to ensure that they are trained and prepared as possible when encountering active shooter incidents.

Troopers want area residents to be aware of the five-day training period between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to ease any alarm or concerns they may have when observing an increased law enforcement presence in the area.

The training is not open to the public.
