UMES Women's Bowling Team to Host Youth Camp

By Lauren Hall

SALISBURY, Md.– The UMES women’s bowling team will hold its first WeeHawks Bowling Camp.

The University of Maryland Easter Shore’s WeeHawk Kids’ Club – third through ninth grade area students – are invited to participate in a one-day camp on June 24 at the Sharon D. Brummel Lanes in UMES’ Student Services Center.

This camp allows participants to learn from UMES women’s bowling team members, their head coach and former College Bowler of the Year Kayla Bandy. Free T-shirts and other gifts will be given to all participants.

“I’m really excited to offer this chance to the children of our faculty, staff and community,” said Bandy.

Enrollment is limited to the first 30 paid registrants.

The cost of the camp is $15 for WeeHawk members and $35 for non-members, which with sign-up includes a one-year membership in the WeeHawks Kid’s Club.
