MILFORD, Del. - A Milford man involved in a pedestrian accident early Saturday morning has died from his injuries.

Police said George F. Henderson, 60 of Milford, was walking across North DuPont Boulevard in Milford near McDonalds when a car hit him just after midnight.

Henderson was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital, and later pronounced dead.

Detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit along with the Milford Police Department said a 2013 Nissan Altima driven by Rossini I. Yen, 30, of Astoria, NY, was traveling southbound when the car hit Henderson, who was not at a crosswalk.
Yen was properly restrained and was not injured in the crash.

Police are investigating whether Henderson was under the influence of alcohol and if a combination of dark clothing and not crossing in a designated crosswalk were factors.

Southbound US113 in the area of the collision was closed for about two and a half hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.
