WASHINGTON, June 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Congressman Dave Camp (R MI), the chairman of the powerful House Committee on Ways and Means, will discuss global trade and the American trade agenda in an address tomorrow, June 19, to the Global Business Dialogue. This event will be held at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, D.C. starting at 9:30 a.m. ET.

Mr. Camp is the author, with other Congressional leaders, of the Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities Act 2014, a Trade Promotion Authority or TPA bill, which was introduced in January. The title for his speech tomorrow is "The Trade Agenda Starts with TPA: The Only Road To Getting The Best Trade Deals for America."

"Ironically, U.S. trade is both very full and yet, in a sense, in the doldrums," said R. K. Morris, president of the Global Business Dialogue. He added: "What is needed is the kind of leadership that only the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee can provide. We are very pleased that Chairman Camp is giving this speech and honored to be hosting it."
