Two Arrested for Multiple Car Break-Ins

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del – Rehoboth Beach police have arrested two suspects in connection to a recent slew of of car break-ins and thefts in the resort.

The thefts took place during the last week of May through the first week of June.

Police arrested Gina L. Sautter, 43, and Dustin D. Manahan, 27, for the crimes.

According to police, Sautter was identified on various security cameras throughout the city. Through further investigation, police said they learned Sautter had teamed up with Manahan to steal from cars, newspaper machines and unsecured property.

Sautter was also identified in security footage attempting to use stolen credit cards, police said. She was arrested on June 11 and charged with theft, conspiracy, criminal trespass, mischief, and unlawful use of a credit card.

Police said Manahan was arrested June 12, after a brief foot chase. He faces similar charges to Sautter.

Manahan and Sautter are being held in the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $60,000 and $26,000 cash and secured bonds respectively.
