DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware's three gambling casinos likely won't be getting as much financial relief from lawmakers as they were hoping.

The chief sponsor of a bill that would have provided financial breaks to the casinos at a cost of more than $20 million says the measure will be amended before a Senate vote next week.

The amendment will keep intact a proposal that the state share slot machine vendor costs with the casinos. The change would cost the state $9.9 million next fiscal year.

But proposals to eliminate the annual $3 million table games fee paid by the casinos and reduce the state's share of table game revenue will be dropped.

Even so, lawmakers and Markell administration officials have not said where the money to cover the casino bailout will come from.
