Talbot County Teen Sentenced In Manslaughter Death Of His Friend

Posted:
EASTON, MD. -  A Talbot county teen is sentenced to two years in prison in the death of an Easton teenager. Matthew Mikowski of Saint Michael's was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment, and second-degree assault against his friend, 18-year-old Sam Cross.

Prosecutors say Mikowski and Cross were camping out and used a hallucinogenic drug known as 25-C. Officials say under the influence of the drug, Mikowski strangled Cross to death.

Mikowski's defense team says it is unlikely they will appeal the two year sentence in Talbot County.
