WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware Republicans say they have found a candidate to run for attorney general as Beau Biden plans to leave the office.
Ted Kittila, a corporate lawyer in Wilmington, says he plans to challenge Lt. Gov. Matt Denn this November to fill the vacancy. He met with Republicans in the state House and Senate to announce his candidacy last week. Kittila has not yet formally filed paperwork to run.
Kittila, like Denn, has no experience as a prosecutor. He says an attorney general for Delaware needs to be a good attorney. He says he has a passion for making sure streets are safe and that he wants a sense of fair play throughout Delaware.
Kittila is a native of Seaford and is a managing member of Wilmington-based Greenhill Law Group.
