SEAFORD, Del.- David Perrington was approved as the next superintendent of the Seaford School District during a Monday board meeting.

Most recently, Perrington served as the assistant superintendent of the Caesar Rodney School District, a position he held since 2012. Previously, he served as the district's director of human resources for 11 years.

Perrington received his master's degree in educational leadership from the University of Delaware in 1991. He has also had stints as an administrator in the Indian River and Sussex Technical school districts, in addition to time as an educator in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Florida.

District officials say Perrington will start his new position in Seaford on July 14, serving on a three-year contract.
