Increased Weekend Traffic Expected at Bay Bridge

STEVENSVILLE, Md.- Increased weekend traffic is expected to bring delays at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge due to the Dew Tour event in Ocean City this weekend.

The Maryland Transporation Authority said that due to the Dew Tour event in Ocean City from June 26-29, motorists should expect higher traffic volumes during the next several days and into the weekend. Motorists are advised to travel off-peak hours to avoid traffic.

Weather permitting, the MDTA said it will implement two-way traffic operations to help alleviate delays and encourages motorists to share the road and to travel off-peak.

The best times to travel are this weekend are Thursday and Friday before 10 a.m. and after 10 p.m., Saturday before 7 a.m. and after 5 p.m. and Sunday before 10 a.m. and after 10 p.m.
