Truck Catches Fire on Route 13 in Felton

KENT COUNTY, Del. - Delaware State Police are working to determine what caused a truck carrying bales of hay to catch fire Saturday afternoon in Felton.

Delaware State Police say it was around 5:45 Saturday afternoon when a trailer carrying 265 bales of hay caught fire on Route 13, north of Peach Basket Road in Felton.  The truck became full engulfed in flames before firefighters were able to extinguish the fire.

Police say there were no injuries from the fire.  Part of Route 13 was shut down for a portion of the evening as firefighters and Deldot worked to clean up the messed caused by the fire.

The investigation of this fire in Kent County is still ongoing.
