American Sentinel University, an accredited online university that offers degree programs focused on the needs of high-growth careers, will be exhibiting its innovative competency-based geographic information systems (GIS) degree programs at the 2014 Esri User Conference.

Stationed in booth E107, American Sentinel Universitys team of expert GIS faculty, led by GIS Program Chair, Stephen A. McElroy, Ph.D., GISP, will answer questions about the universitys GIS programs and detail how the competency-based GIS programs prepare students to become geospatial leaders with the latest technology trends.

Dr. McElroy says the universitys competency-based programs offer students the ability to apply geospatial themes in practical ways and prepares them for similar work challenges, requiring them to synthesize data and information and producing creative solutions.

American Sentinel Universitys team of expert GIS faculty will be exhibiting at the Esri Education GIS User Conference in booth E107 on Saturday, July 12 from 4:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m and Sunday, July 13 from 4:30 p.m. 6 p.m. in the third level Ballroom 20 Lobby at the San Diego Convention Center.

American Sentinel will also be exhibiting in booth A108 at the Academic GIS Program Fair on Monday, July 14 from 4:00 p.m. 7 p.m. in the third level Ballroom 20 Lobby at the San Diego Convention Center.
