SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Shorebirds beat the Hagerstown Suns 5-4 Sunday, breaking a five-game losing streak.
The Suns began the game with a 1-0 lead at the bottom of the third inning, but the Shorebirds took the lead with two runs in the fourth inning and one run each in the fifth and sixth innings, officials say.
By the end of the game, the Suns made three more runs to home, which was not enough to take the lead. The Shorebirds finished the game one run ahead.
The Shorebirds play the Hagerstown Suns again Monday at 7:05 p.m.
