Bayhealth Offers First Online Childbirth Education Classes in Delaware

Posted:

DOVER, Del. – The Bayhealth Medical Center is now offering online childbirth classes to expecting parents who cannot attend classes at the hospital, officials say.

These virtual classes, which people can access through a computer or cellphone, will be the first online childbirth class in the state of Delaware, according to officials.

The class includes interactive videos and activities for parents to view at their leisure, Bayhealth officials say. Expectant parents will have three months to complete the course.

Communication is a key aspect in this course, teaching parents how to talk with health care providers, according to Bayhealth.

Officials say the program is ideal for parents with busy schedules or mothers on bed rest.

Users will receive an access code and guide once they are registered, according to officials. The cost of registration is $70.

Parents can learn more about parent education in a hospital classroom setting

For more information or to register for the class, visit bayhealth.org/childbirth.
