Dr. Jerome Edelstein discusses issue of intimacy after cosmetic surgery in Elevate magazine.
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) July 02, 2014
Dr. Jerome Edelstein discusses the issue of intimacy amongst patients who have had cosmetic surgery in the article, What Happens Under the Sheets After Surgery? in the current issue of Elevate magazine.
The issue of intimacy after cosmetic surgery isnt something that is normally talked about unless the patient specifically asks, states Dr. Jerome Edelstein, Head of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Humber River Hospital and primary plastic surgeon at Edelstein Cosmetic. I find that patients who are getting breast augmentation, a tummy tuck or labiaplasty tend to ask about it more.
Research has found that for female patients having cosmetic breast surgery in particular, there is a direct link between cosmetic enhancement and sex. Cosmetic surgery has been proven to boost self-esteem and sexual satisfaction, according to the study conducted by Dr. Figueroa-Haas at the University of Florida.
For my patients, cosmetic surgery does have a positive effect on a womans sexuality. For the majority of my patients, it makes intimacy more open and intense, adds Dr. Edelstein.
The July/August issue of Elevate magazine is available at newsstands now.
