The results of Tulemar Resort's survey of guest preferences reveal increasing demand for the traditional and diverse mix of ingredients used to create gourmet dishes.

Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica (PRWEB) July 04, 2014

Tulemars private chefs are proudly integrating more and more typical Costa Rican flavors in their menus as a result of the company's informal survey of guests conducted last month.

The global trend toward whole, organic ingredients is increasingly an important consideration for visitors to the Central American country, and the resort aims to respond by adding more traditional Costa Rican dishes to the menu.

The perennial chefs at Tulemar have become proud to show guests the countrys gastronomic roots in their dishes and are placing importance in taking the responsibility to share their forefathers' recipes. Each dish is made with Costa Rican flavor and seasoning.

When we talk about typical Costa Rican food, everyone thinks of gallo pinto and casados. But Costa Rica has an extensive array of traditional dishes, in which our chefs have been able to introduce within their gourmet menus, says Chris Madrigal, chef and personal concierge at Tulemar Vacation Homes.

There are several different kinds of bocas, salads, entrees, and desserts made with many regionally available ingredients that may surprise the uninitiated palate.

Picadillo de papaya, for example, is made with green papaya, onions, achiote, ground beef, bell peppers, garlic, chicken broth, cilantro, and Salsa Lizano - a mixture of ingredients that at first come off as a strange mix but create a delicious and often addictive flavor.

Hearing papaya and ground beef in the same sentence might not sound appealing at first - but that is what is so fun for the chefs. We surprise our clients and mix these unexpected ingredients right in their kitchen, in hopes of delivering a taste they won't forget. Since all of our larger private vacation rental homes have full gourmet kitchens, we always have the capacity to deliver world-class culinary options to our guests, comments Chris.

Tulemar offers private chef services for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a fun way to experience the flavor of the country.
