Wilmington Gas Station Robbed at Gunpoint

WILMINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Monday night at a Shell gas station on Maryland Avenue in Wilmington.

The male suspect held up the store with an unidentified gun and asked for money and cigarettes, police said. The employee gave the robber the money and cigarettes before the robber ran away.

The suspect had an accomplice on the outside of the store as a lookout, according to police. The accomplice ran away with the armed suspect.

The first suspect was described as a 5-foot-8 black male, 20 to 30 years of age and wearing a dark T-shirt, police said. The accomplice was described as wearing a black male, wearing khaki shorts and a white T-shirt.
