Dover Woman Sought in Stabbing

DOVER, Del.- Authorities are asking the public's help in locating a 29-year-old Dover woman accused of stabbing and robbing her ex-boyfriend.

Dover police said the incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn at 561 N. DuPont Highway. Officers said that when they arrived on the scene, they contacted a 51-year-old male victim who had suffered numerous slash and stab wounds to his chest and abdomen.

Police said the victim identified his ex-girlfriend, identified as Charmele Seymore, as the person who assaulted him.  According to investigators, Seymore and the victim were involved in an argument when she pulled out a knife and assaulted the victim before stealing his money and fleeing the scene. 

The victim was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he is listed in stable condition after undergoing surgery for his wounds.

Seymore's whereabouts are unknown at this time and there is a warrant out for her arrest charging her with first-degree robbery, first-degree assault and related charges.
