Shorebirds Edge Out Win Against West Virginia Power

SALISBURY, Md. – The Delmarva Shorebirds broke a tie game at the bottom of the ninth inning to win Tuesday's game gainst the West Virginia Power, 3-2.

The Shorebirds had two runs in the bottom of the first inning, where Creede Simpson brought in Jeff Kemp with a double and Drew Dosch brought in Chance Sisco with a grounder to second base, officials say.

The Power got back into the game, first with a run at the top of the third and another at the top of the sixth, according to officials, where Jon Keller hit his sixth home run in the past eight games.

The game remained tied until Sisco hit a single to put a man on third base, officials say. Austin Wynns then brought home Simpson to win the game.

The Shorebirds will play their next game against the Power 10:35 a.m. Wednesday at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.
