Wanted Sex Offender Arrested in Dover

DOVER, Del.- A convicted sex offender wanted for failure to re-register his address with authorities has been arrested in Dover.

DeShaun Harris, 29, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon by the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force after being located in the King's Cliff Mobile Home Park, located off of South Bay Road in Dover. Harris also had numerous capias' for his arrest from various courts, according to the Dover Police Department, which had been looking for him.

Harris is considered a moderate-risk offender, who was convicted in 1998 of second- and third-degree unlawful sexual contact with a victim between 1 and 11 years of age, according to the Delaware Sex Offender Registry.

Following his arrest, Harris was ordered held in the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $7,400 secured bond.
