SALISBURY, Md.- One of Wicomico County's most wanted fugitives has been captured in New York State, authorities said Friday.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said that on July 4, John Oratio Simpson, 27, of Salisbury, was extradited back to Wicomico County following his apprehension in Suffolk County, N.Y.

Simpson had been wanted in Wicomico County on a circuit court bench warrant that had been issued back in March 2012 in a case where Simpson had been charged with armed carjacking. Simpson had previously been featured as one of Wicomico County’s "Most Wanted."

Simpson was detained without bond in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
