Delmarva Evangelistic Church Evacuated Due to Smoke in Salisbury

Posted:
SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury Fire Department responded to a church on Gordy Road Sunday night for reports of smoke filling the building.

Pastor Robert Gregory of the Delmarva Evangelistic Church tells WBOC it happened around 8:30 p.m. when he and other members of the congregation were in their Fellowship Hall holding a Christian music concert. Pastor Gregory says smoke filled the Fellowship Hall and he and 20 others immediately evacuated the building.

No one was injured.

Pastor Gregory says an electrical malfunction may be to blame, but as of 9:30 p.m. Salisbury Firefighters were still on the scene investigating.
