Troopers Investigate Armed Robbery of 7-Eleven

WILMINGTON, Del.- Troopers are investigating the early Tuesday morning armed robbery of a 7-Eleven convenience store north of Wilmington.

Police said that at approximately 2:20 a.m., a male suspect with a dark cloth covering his face and armed with a handgun, entered the 7-Eleven  located at 4865 Governor Printz Blvd.

According to police, the suspect confronted the 20-year-old male employee, produced and pointed a handgun at him, and demanded money. The employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The suspect then ran out of the business. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.

The suspect is described as black, 20-24 years of age, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, 135-145 pounds and thin build. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and a dark cloth covering over his face.

According to police, the suspect was armed with an unknown type semiautomatic handgun.

There are no surveillance photos available for release at this time. Troopers continue to investigate this incident.
