Arrests Made in Dover Robbery

DOVER, Del. – Smyrna police on Monday took into custody two suspects wanted in connection with a robbery that occurred earlier that same day in Dover.  

Leroy Harris, 31, and David Donnelly, 28, of Harrington, Del., are each charged with robbery.

Harris and Donnelly gave the acquainted victim a ride to a Dover business to cash a check before Harris punched the victim in the face and stole the money upon arrival at the victim’s neighborhood.

Dover police alerted authorities in neighboring towns and Harris and Donnelly drove off to north Route 1 before Smyrna police stopped and apprehended the two suspects.

Authorities say they are holding both Harris and Donnelly at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $5,500 bond and $5,000 bond respectively.
